Hi! I’m Farah and I’m the Head of Volunteers for Science Brainwaves this year. I’ve just finished my third year of a Biology degree at the University of Sheffield and I’ll be completing my Masters next year. I’ll be working with Daphnia (the pretty name for water fleas), specifically how and why different environments stimulate different responses in Daphnia, even when they all have the same genes. After that, I’d like to do a PhD in marine biology, hopefully somewhere exotic! I love asking questions, and I think that’s why I love science.
My job is to keep in touch with everyone who works with Science Brainwaves and volunteers their time to help us out! I’ll keep you updated on what’s happening, and upcoming events and plans!
If you have any questions or would like to get involved, or have any ideas for us, please get in touch with me at
