My name is Katherine Chapman, and after a year on the committee as social and inclusions officer – rallying volunteers, and hopefully making volunteering for Science Brainwaves and enjoyable experience – I am now the Head of Projects. I will be looking at the long term aims and projects that Brainwaves run, and work closely with the Chair, Ben Dornan, and the Head of Events, Holly Rogers, to guide Science Brainwaves to even greater heights.

I am a third year undergraduate physics and philosophy student at the University of Sheffield and love everything about science, from how it plays a part in everyone’s daily lives, to the dizzying complexities of what it can achieve. After completing a summer internship at CERN working for the EU projects team, I will be constantly looking for new and exciting ways to make everyone talk about physics and every other science!
