In March 2011 we gave you the ‘Science of Cocktails’ this year we give you ‘The Botany of Gin’ -  Noel Jackson, Oxford graduate , chemist and head of education at Newcastle‘s Centre for Life, will be returning to Sheffield once again, to bring us a night of science and booze. This workshop will explore the history of gin.  We’ll find out if all gins really are just the same, identify which plants give them their distinctive flavours and discover our favourite brands.  As with all good science, there will be plenty of experimentation.
