Hey! My name is Adam and I’m Head of Outreach for Science Brainwaves 2017/2018.
I have the duty of organising and running all the outreach activities this year: from extracting strawberry DNA, to Pathogen Modelling. Although I am a third-year Biochemist, my goal in life surprisingly isn’t to be the first person to cure cancer. Instead, my passion resides away from the lab, in managing and communicating science. My project this year does not involve me putting on a lab coat, as I am lucky enough to have the opportunity to teach science at a secondary school. The aim is to inspire the next generation of scientists, and this is something that I hope to achieve with Science Brainwaves as well. As someone who is full of passion, enthusiasm and charisma, I hope to transfer my desire to learn more about science to those that take part in my activities.
If having read this you now have the sudden urge to get involved with Science brainwaves, whether this be in offering new outreach ideas or volunteering at one of our events, please do not hesitate to get in touch with me: email@example.com
I look forward to hearing from you soon!
